This week, Clifford the Big Red Dog and representatives from Kroger, Scholastic Books and various TV stations were on hand to promote reading to our students. Free books were offered to each of our students. Kroger & Scholastic Book Fairs partnered to provide our students the books in observance of Black History Month. As our students chose their own books, the school also received books by African-American authors and other books that add to the understanding of the diverse cultures around us. Correct answers are very important, but along with them there is a new set of “mathematical practices” that teachers will expect from students. This is part of their preparation for 21st century jobs. More information>>>.
You are invited to be a PAC Parent!
Does your child ever take too much time to do homework… need an extra boost of self-esteem…use social media…or choose not to follow your directions? As a parent, do you ever feel like you could use some support from other parents who have the same concerns with their children as you? If so, you are encouraged to register for our upcoming PAC (Parents are the Core) sessions. Throughout the school year, sessions will be offered for parents.
Welcome to Kindergarten!!! Linked is our newly updated and technology-friendly Kindergarten Camp (K Camp) video book. This will allow your kindergarten student(s) to become familiar with the school prior to school starting. Please read and view this with your child as often as you would like. We look forward to seeing you!
