Greetings, this is Mrs. Taylor, proud principal of Warren Central High School!
What a wonderful first 2 days of school. I loved the excitement of welcoming students back into the building. This week, please note that any student who did not make it to registration will have an opportunity to have their ID pictures taken on Tuesday, July 29th, during the day. Students will be called down by last name throughout the day. Seniors will take their pictures in their graduation gowns, and all other students are expected to be in school appropriate attire. We are excited to welcome parents into the building on August 7th from 5:30-7:30 for our back to school night. This night will be an opportunity for you to follow your student's schedule and meet and greet your student's teachers. There will also be an opportunity for students to learn about the various club/sports opportunities available to them.
Friendly reminder that attendance remains one of our top priorities. Additionally, the new high school diploma requirements have attendance as one of the criteria that must be met to obtain a high school diploma. Our school day begins promptly at 7:15. We ask that students are at school daily, on-time, and ready to learn. Also, please make it a priority if your student will not be in attendance to call our attendance line at 317-532-6200 and report their absence.
Finally, please note that our drop-off and pick-up procedures are in place to ensure the safe arrival and dismissal of all students and staff. It is imperative that you are adhering to our policies. Students should only be dropped off at door 21 via our car rider line between 6:45-7:15. At no time should a student be dropped off along 16th Street. After 7:15, car riders should be dropped at Door 1. All student drivers should enter the campus from either 21st and Lakeside Dr (by Lakeside elementary and the Warren Library) or via Heather Hills Drive from Mitthoeffer and park only in Lot 8 next to the tennis courts. Students parking in Lot 8 will then enter the building from either Door 1 or Door 70. Please be mindful of students and individuals moving through the lots and adhere to speed limits. Again, the safe arrival and dismissal of our students and staff is a priority.
As always, thank you for allowing me to serve you and your students. Please take some time to go through our Sunday newsletter for additional information about all things Warren Central.
Have a great evening!
