As we head into the final days of October, there is a lot happening across The W! From Halloween activities and student performances to playoff football and an upcoming opportunity to experience everything Warren Central High School and Walker Career Center have to offer, I want to highlight a few events and important reminders.
No Tricks, Just Treats at Warren Central – Thursday, October 29
Tomorrow evening, Warren Central High School is hosting No Tricks, Just Treats, a community trick-or-treat night for families of all ages! Join us Thursday, October 29, from 5:30–7:30 p.m. in Warren Central High School Parking Lot #7 for a fun and safe night of trick-or-treating.

The concert is FREE and open to the community. Come enjoy an evening of music with a Halloween twist while supporting and celebrating the hard work and talents of our Warren student musicians!
Warrior Football Opens Sectional Play – Friday, October 30

We are proud of our student-athletes, coaches, cheerleaders, band members, and everyone who represents The W on Friday nights. Let's show up, support our Warriors, and bring the Pride of the Eastside on the road! Tickets can be purchased here.
Happy Halloween! – Saturday, October 31
I hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween this Saturday! Official trick-or-treating hours in Indianapolis are 6:00–8:00 p.m. As our students and families head out for the evening, please remember a few important safety reminders: stay on sidewalks and use crosswalks whenever possible, carry a flashlight or wear something reflective so you can be easily seen, make sure younger children are accompanied by an adult, and have an adult check all treats before they are eaten.
For those of us behind the wheel, please slow down, stay alert, and watch carefully for children and families throughout our neighborhoods. With so many young people out and about, keeping Halloween safe is a shared responsibility.
Families looking for another local Halloween activity can also visit IMPD's Hershyville Training Village, located at 901 N. Post Road, for trick-or-treating from 6:00–8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Election Day / eLearning Day – November 3
Tuesday, November 3, is Election Day and will be an eLearning Day for Warren students and a professional development day for Warren staff. Linked here is the 2026-2027 school calendar.

Students in grades 9–12 will access their assignments through Canvas and will also have five days to complete their work.
Please remember that completion of the eLearning assignments is important. The work will not only count toward students' grades but will also serve as their attendance for November 3.
